Glock gen 4 ejector1/10/2024 If it traps, stovepipes or ejects out the mag well, that was bad. If it ejects out the ejection port, that was good. Fire the chambered round and watch what happens. To run that test, load the chamber from the magazine and remove the magazine. Go and run a test with your preferred service autopistol to determine how robust your extractor function is. In between results, in which the case is slipping out of the extractor causes the "guess where it goes" results of ejected cases striking the shooter's head/face or dribbling out, etc.Ī different ejector may help the problem some, but it is most assuredly NOT fixing the poor extractor performance that most of the late Gen 3 and Gen 4 guns are producing. If they work well, the fired case's head is presented square to the ejector and it gets cleanly and properly ejected. ![]() At the worst end, they lose the case rim completely on the extraction of the fired case and this results in the inline stovepipe or the upright and deep crushed case stuck between the breechface and the barrel hood. The extractors are not maintaining control of the fired case, which results in a range of results. It's been posted and explained before, but erratic Glock ejection is due to crappy and inconsistent Glock EXTRACTOR performance. Are you suggesting that the extractor isn't holding onto the case long enough for the ejector to do it's job? If so why did swapping out the ejector on my G22 cure its ejection woes and why does my G19 run perfectly fine on most ammo? ![]() So explain to me how swapping out extractors will improve ejection. My Gen4 G19 was weak on UMC and Federal Champion but performed as expected with 127gr +P+, 126gr NATO ball, 115gr WWB and surprising had strong, perfect ejection with Wolf! I didn't dick around with the extractor at all. ![]() Nice and strong and back towards the 4 o'clock position. Robb replaced my ejector with the new, non-marked ejector and since then it kicks the brass out perfectly every time. Guys, why do you think that by swamping out the Extractor you'll improve the ejection woes of your Glocks? I don't understand what the logic is here.įor instance my Gen4 G22 displayed weak ejection patterns some to the nugget and a few it spit out the left side of the gun but mostly they just sort of dribbled out to the right.
